Beach Fishing Weekend with Roger that changes everything
12th - 14th September 2025
Â
What If One Weekend Could Change Your Fishing Forever?
Â
You've spent years trying to crack the code of beach fishing and beachworming. You've enjoyed watching Roger's videos and thought it would be great to go fishing with Australia's master beach fisherman and expert beach worming coach. You have also read too many fishing guides and have swapped tips with mates, but nothing seems to work.
Does this describe your average fishing trip?
Some days, you get a nibble or two, and maybe you even land something decent now and then. But deep down, you know you've never truly tapped into your full potential as a beach angler. You know you're missing a key insight that could turn frustrating outings into triumphant, story-worthy adventures.
Now you have the opportunity to experience this:
Imagine having one of Australia's most respected beach fishing experts at your side. Imagine receiving hands-on guidance from a man who has spent decades perfecting his craft—someone who not only fishes these waters but knows them intimately. That man is Roger Osborne.
Roger Osborne's name has been synonymous with success on Australia's beaches for years. His YouTube videos have educated and inspired thousands, but even the most informative video can't match the power of being there in person, learning directly from the master himself. And this March, he's offering you that chance.
Stop dreaming and experience the thrill of catching your first bream, flathead or mulloway. Plus, learn Roger's secrets to catching elusive beachworms
Roger has a proven approach to teaching people how to catch beachworms and fish in their first lesson!
“What You’ll Experience in three days…”
Â
This weekend is at the perfect location - Point Plomer, near Cresent Head. Plus, the weekend has been timed to coincide with the prime season for catching flathead, bream, and mulloway. The timing couldn’t be better, and you’ll be fishing under conditions that set you up for success.
You arrive at the exclusive beachside venue and enter a world where everything has been carefully planned for you.
The accommodations are not just comfortable; they’re designed to help you unwind after each day of adventure. From cozy beds to the sound of waves lulling you to sleep, every detail is taken care of.
Roger greets you personally. You’re not just another face in the crowd but part of an intimate group of 24 dedicated anglers. As you gather with your fellow participants, you feel an immediate bond—a sense of camaraderie from being among people who share your passion. There’s no ego here, only a shared excitement about what lies ahead.
This year, Shimano Fishing has sweetened the pot by providing an array of incredible prizes. You’ll have the chance to win a rod and reel combo, plus lines, lures, and caps—all from Shimano’s top-quality gear lineup.
“It is all I expected and more,” says Ash.Â
The lessons begin with the foundations, as Ash, who attended Roger's first weekend down on the South Coast, shares in the above video. Roger walks you through beachworming techniques that once seemed like a secret art. Under his patient guidance, what was once frustrating becomes almost effortless.
You’ll watch as he finds, hooks, and retrieves worms with skill and ease, and before you know it, you’re doing the same. You feel your confidence growing, and with each successful attempt, the old feelings of frustration and guesswork melt away.
Then comes the real magic. Roger takes you to the water’s edge, explaining how to read the beach, spot the subtle changes in sand, and surf that signal where the fish are. He teaches you how to rig your line perfectly for the conditions and adjust your approach as the tides shift. He doesn’t just give you instructions; he helps you understand the why behind each decision. Suddenly, what used to feel like luck now feels like skill.
By the time twilight sets in, you’re casting confidently. The sun dips below the horizon, and you make your first cast in the fading light under Roger's watchful eye. You feel the subtle tug on your line, set the hook, and pull in your first fish of the evening. The thrill is electric. It’s not just the size of the catch—it’s the realization that you’re finally fishing like you always knew you could.
“This Isn’t Just a Weekend—It’s a Transformation…”
Over the next three days, every session builds on the last. Each meal is an opportunity to swap stories with fellow anglers, share triumphs, ask questions, and soak up even more knowledge.
Roger is there at every turn, answering your questions, offering encouragement, and celebrating your successes. His passion for teaching is matched only by his love of fishing, and that combination creates an environment where you can’t help but improve.
You're no longer guessing by Sunday morning’s high tide rolls in. You know exactly where to set up, how to cast, and precisely what to expect. You’ve gained the skills and the confidence to make every beach outing successful. You leave the weekend with memories and friendships and the knowledge that you’ve unlocked a new level of angling ability.
“What Are Others Saying?... ”
Â
John Stokes from Queensland:
“I drove 13 hours to be here, and it was worth every kilometre. Roger’s knowledge is unmatched. He’s down-to-earth, passionate, and knows how to teach. I learned more during this one weekend than during years of fishing alone. I’m already planning to come back.”
Gary from Sydney:
“I brought my new Alvey rod and reel and had no clue how to use it. After a short session with Roger, I cast farther and caught bigger fish than ever before. The coaches were patient, the group was great, and the results were incredible. I even caught a 50cm salmon!”
Andrew from Sydney:
"We've had a fantastic weekend—plenty of time for fishing. I've met a great bunch of blokes. It's been excellent, and last night's dinner was fantastic!"
 John from NSW
"I've always thought Rodger was a great fisherman. Fishing with him was even better. He is a nice guy and made me feel welcome over the weekend!"

Exclusive Clinics for Weekend Attendees: "Master the Techniques Behind the Catch"
Before each session, Roger conducts a group coaching session. In these sessions, Roger takes you behind the scenes and explains the theory behind each technique you will learn throughout the weekend.
One of the more interesting sessions is when Laurie, Roger's assistant coach, walks you through maintaining your gear. Many of the guys who attended the first two weekends were amazed to learn that the care of their gear was causing more harm than good.
This session on properly servicing your reels and equipment was one of the more popular sessions on the last two weekends. It is just one of the sessions you will attend that will leave you better placed to go fishing.
For example, one of the items in the image - below right - can ruin your reel in the long term. This tip will save you money and make you an all-around better fisherman as you understand how your gear works and how to improve its efficiency.
