Rough Weather Back-up Plan

Rough weather will not impact beachworming, so we will be able to beachworm regardless. If the surf is huge and too big for beach fishing, our fishing for the weekend will be conducted in Burrill Lake Estuary - five minutes from the conference centre.

Roger films all his estuary videos at Burrill Lake. Fish are abundant, plus fresh baits such as Yabbies/Nippers and Poddy Mullet are readily available. It is also an excellent place for Lure Casting.

Your weekend starts Friday at 2.00 pm when you check in to Burrill Pines Conference Centre.

Roger then kicks off the weekend with an exciting beach worming session, where you'll uncover the hidden secrets of catching these elusive creatures.

As the sun sets, you’ll experience the magic of twilight beach fishing, a serene yet exhilarating way to wrap up your first day. Reflect on your adventures over a leisurely dinner, knowing this is just the beginning of an incredible journey.

Saturday promises a full day of learning and adventure.

Start with a hearty breakfast to fuel up for the day ahead. Roger will then guide you through a rigging session, sharing his invaluable tips and tricks for setting up your gear like a pro. With high tide, you'll have the perfect opportunity to apply your new skills in a morning beach fishing session.

Saturday, 21st September

7:30 AM: Start your day with a hearty breakfast.
8:15 AM: Join a Rigging Session where Roger will share his tips and tricks for setting up your gear.
9:00 AM: Dive into a High Tide Beach Fishing Session, applying what you've learned.
12:00 PM: Take a break for lunch and relax with fellow fishing enthusiasts.
1:30 PM: Learn to read the beach with Roger's Beach Reading Session—an essential skill for any serious angler.
3:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Another Beach Worming Session to hone your skills.

7:30 AM: Fuel up with breakfast.
8:15 AM: Another insightful Rigging Session.

12:00 PM: Lunch and farewells, leaving with new knowledge, friends, and unforgettable memories.

What's included:

Accommodation:

The conference centre offers bunk beds for sleeping in rooms for up to six people. It is not five-star but clean and comfortable, has a small kitchenette, and offers a hot shower and a short walk to the beach.

Food arrangements for the weekend will be as follows:

Friday Night - order in your own takeaway
